Owner Operators- Recruitment
Owner Operators are an important part of EverGreen and we never forget that. Our owner operators pull the same freight as our company trucks and share in the rewards of our contracts and customers. We have many customers who have mills that load 24 hours which is an added benefit to our regional and long haul drivers and owner operators.
Owner operators look for many of the same things that company drivers are looking for which are (1) Home time, (2) Pay package, and (3) Available freight. EverGreen is a core carrier for building products companies and steel companies alike.
We have Owner Ops who run regional and others who prefer to run long haul. We offer Comdata fuel cards for those who want it. We also have late model 48’ x 102” aluminum/steel combo trailers with two 24” x 24” x 60” toolboxes with locks that are ready to roll should the owner operator prefer to run one of our trailers.
There is no forced dispatch as we prefer to define the area or operation and rates that the owner operator desires and load him accordingly.
MVR’s must no have more than two speeding violations with neither of them being 15 mph over the posted speed limit. Safety is of the highest priority so all potential owner operators trucks must have truck inspected at our designated vendor before we sign the contract is signed. Owner operators must pay for one inspection per year and the EverGreen will pay for other scheduled quarterly inspections.
